Mayang Mall

Ombak Pazaar is conceived as a marriage of traditional “Pasar“ with “Bazaar or a Souk”. A meeting of two worlds where traditional retailing interweaves with a modern bazaar. Here traditional wares are given a new lifeform, packaging and perspective to satisfy the need of savvy consumers. This will be the place where goods may change hands without the need to exchange physical currency. Whilst this concept might be new to most of us but to change a traditionalist, first step is the most difficult.

Ombak Pazaar sees the need to establish a strong market place for traders to procure wholesale goods for resale to traditional markets in Terengganu. It is also a place for local traders to use this platform to hone their skill to go upmarket. An opportunity for traditional traders to leverage on a marketing and operational program designed to assist traders to improve and ultimately compete on a national level. This platform will serve as a regional centre for wholesale trade to reach an underserved region. Together with this, we feature a common space for local start up and wholesalers to share a common venue to cohabitate and flourish.

Ombak Pazaar is an inspirational space with a curation of “must haves” local products, food, handicrafts and much more for one who truly need to bring back when visiting Terengganu. Likewise, locals can procure these “buah tangan” for their friends and acquaintance before travelling out of state.

Ombak will turn these collections into favourite gifts from North-East Peninsula Malaysia where one can purchase the most desirable of the region under one roof in the comfort of a conducive environment. It is a place to browse and spend time to assimilate the experience the flavours of the East Coast all in a gift pack.

Ombak is a place for retailers to be wholesalers and wholesalers can be retailers, where boundaries are thin and opportunity aplenty. Businesses are curated to support the services of one another and integrate as a community to provide symbiotic support.

Ombak desires to promote modern trade in Terengganu with the collaboration of local traders by harnessing their unique food and cultures and give it a “Gifty” proposition. We have limited space and is an opportunity that you should not miss.
